Marcia Gay Harden
Marcia Gay Harden, born on August 14, 1959, in La Jolla (California), was the third of five. She was the daughter of Beverly (Bushfield) she was a homemaker and her father Thad Harold Harden, was an active soldier. Family members moved frequentlyShe first began to be interested in the theatre when the family moved to Greece and she attended plays in Athens. Harden started her education at American colleges in Europe after which she returned to the US to pursue her education at the University of Texas in 1983 followed by an MFA degree at NYU in the following year, and then began her acting career. Miller's Crossing was the Coen Brothers comedy that cleverly paid homage of the 1990 gangster film, Miller's Crossing. Although Harden had appeared in movies in the year 1986 (in The Imagemaker, a lesser-known film The Imagemaker), she was a sexy femme fatale as part of her first role in the mainstream. Harden got a positive review for her sultry performance as Verna as a stunning, trouble-making woman. Harden was subsequently busy in supporting roles, including her portrayal as Ava Gardner in Sinatra (1992) the biopic for television about Frank Sinatra.
