Jill Hennessy

The Edmonton native is with Irish, Italian and Swedish ancestry, as well as French Ukrainian, French as well as Swedish. Her twin sister, Jacqueline is a professional actress. Jill became fluent in several languages, like Italian, French, Spanish while growing as a child. She began her journey into the world of acting when she was 12. She started her acting career in Toronto with David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers playing an escort with the twins of her. Then she studied improv comedy at Second City with Deb Kimmet. A few years later, she relocated in New York and signed a deal to play the Assistant District Attorney Claire Kincaid on the long run of the hit show, Law & Order. Over the 3 years the actress was in New york, she worked on film projects that featured feature actors like RoboCop 3 (1993), Ron Howard's The Paper (1996) and I Shot Andy Warhol (1996). Over the next couple of years she was offered roles in many forgettable film and in 1999, she landed a starring role in the miniseries uremberg alongside Alec Baldwin. Autumn in New York followed the show, along with Exit Wounds. The actress was cast as the lead in the NBC criminal show Crossing Jordan in 2001. In 2007, she was honored with the Gracie Allen Award for "Outstanding female lead in a drama series" in appreciation of her role on the show. The actress got married to another actor Paolo Mastropietro in 2000. They have two children together. In 2007 she was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame. Jill Jill Jill Jill Jill
